Business VoIP Phone
Welcome to our VoIP site
You would probably have heard of VoIP.
Even if you've never really understood what the hype was all about, VoIP will change the way you think about long distance telephone calls.
In communications, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) is the technology of the future. In VoIP, voice information is converted into digital packets and sent over the Internet and then converted back into analog signals before reaching receiver.
So again you ask, why is this VoIP changing the industry? It means that you can go around your telephone company and start making long distance calls at no charge.
With hardware based business VoIP services, a phone is fitted with an adapter that connects to a high speed Internet connection. The call goes through a local telephone company to a VoIP provider and over the Internet to the receiver's telephone company.
The popularity of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is increasing in popularity. Those who use their computers for virtually everything can now also use them to make and receive telephone calls. Many providers of residential VoIP services offer competitive packages, excellent customer service, and features that you already receive with your traditional phone service provider.
VoIP service is all the rage lately, with many consumers lured to VoIP providers by promises of lower phone bills while maintaining excellent sound quality. People can certainly save money with VoIP and get more features than you typically get from your phone company (without paying extra) but sometimes the quality of VoIP service can be an issue. The upside is that most of the time, VoIP calls sound just as good as your regular phone line, but it's good to know what factors might cause that sound quality to suffer.
In order to use residential VoIP services you need to have a high-speed Internet connection. If you have a slower connection, the quality of your calls greatly diminishes. You will also need a modem and adapter that connects your phone line to your computer. The majority of VoIP services provide this in their packages.
